Zach Bailey, Co-Owner and Director of Production at B&I Productions, on set

Zach Bailey

Co-Owner and Director of Production

I grew up in La Vista and got into camera work in my high school broadcasting program. Senior year I taught the first-year students. That landed me an internship at Malone & Company and opened my mind to making this a career. Right out of high school I DJed weddings, which taught me to be the voice of direction in the room. Same job on set.

I have shot for multiple marketing agencies, owned my own photography business, and worked with major Omaha brands like Mutual of Omaha. With Mecca Omaha I shot Creighton basketball, March Madness, pro bull riding, and the College World Series. At Nebraska Realty I ran content production, built out a luxury listing program, and developed NR Media, an income-producing in-house listing service they still run today. Then I branched off to build B&I Productions.

Eight years in, what I love most is shooting something different. It is the constant change and challenge that I really enjoy. I love my wife Hannah, a graphic designer and marketing lead for a distribution company in Omaha, and our Shih Tzu, Thor. He is cuddly whenever he is not in the mood to gnaw off our toes.

Give me something I have not shot yet.

Shawn Ilg, Co-Owner of B&I Productions and President of Golden Sheaf

A few things we hold to

Five things, plainly.

  1. Cadence over polishA post every week beats a perfect one every quarter. Audiences reward showing up.
  2. Audience before channelWe pick the platform after we know who is watching, never before.
  3. Honest numbersYou see the real reach, the real cost per result, and what we would change.
  4. Production attachesCameras come out when the strategy says so. Not every problem is a video problem.
  5. Lose the wrong fitWe would rather pass than build a plan we do not believe in.
